Hello, and welcome to my new site.  I want to take a moment to tell you who I am and why I’ve made this.

My name is Thaddeus and I currently live in San Francisco with my girlfriend, Kathy, and our three cats, Apollo, Belka, and Leo.  I stumbled across Data Science about 2 years ago and quickly became obsessed. But without coding experience or a technical background, I had a lot to learn.

This led me to go back to school for a Masters in Data Science at Berkeley, which I am wrapping up now.  Over the last two years, I’ve had to learn non-stop, both in school and out, just to keep up.  But now I am at the point where it is time to focus less on learning, and more on doing, which is what led me to create this site.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.

Each week I will post an attempt to answer a question that I find interesting using Data Science.  It could be from my personal life, professional life, or just something I am curious about.  

I will use whatever tools are necessary to answer the question, such as machine learning, visualization, and statistics.  Some problems will be more complex than others, but I commit to explaining my process and findings in the simplest terms possible every time.

I will make mistakes along the way, but I also know that I will learn a ton throughout the process, and that is what it is all about.
